Question by Ms. Denton Lone Star ™: Is any FORMER foster youth who is now grown & of age still in touch with their FORMER foster parents?
Was/is the relationship good or bad? What is/was the experience like? I still deal with my former foster mom, but she’s still abusive to me. I had no place else to go after I lost my apartment in Hurricane Katrina. Now, I have my own place, but she still is abusive to me.

I am sorry that you had to go thru Katrina and I will pray for you. As for your former foster mom if she is abusive and you are of age you can report her to the authorities.Tell her that you no longer desire a relationship with her,if she has a key to your place change the locks. You can change your phone number to a private and unlisted one. If its real bad you may want to consider relocating. You can contact local churches and they will beable to help you also.
